DT, as the technical partner to the digitization program at the National Geographic Society, worked with National Geographic on the creation of a color profile for Kodachrome and Ektachrome film. Julie McVey, Project Manager for the Digital Preservation Archive at the National Geographic Society presented about this at the 2019 DT East Coast CH Round Table. To download a complimentary copy of these profiles please complete the form below. Note that these profiles were created using the Phase One iXG 100mp and the DT Photon LED light source and Capture One Cultural Heritage version 11 or later; their accuracy will be far lower for other equipment combinations.
On the left is a Kodachrome with the DT Photon profile for flat art reproduction applied; the image on the right has the custom-built Kodachrome ICC profile applied.
